On 16.11.2024 we finished our participation in the International Food Exhibitions in IEC, where we presented for the first time the innovative concept "The path from paper to label".

Our booth came to life and turned into a mini factory that showed how a roll of white paper turns into a roll of colored labels.

In front of the curious eyes of the visitors, our colleagues talked in detail about the process of creating labels - from the selection of materials and shapes to the printing and final quality check. Our guests were able to experience every step of the production process through videos, demonstrations and explanations.

We visualized the complexity and precision behind each label, a product that many businesses rely on to represent their identity and quality.

We also did a recreation of our inspection machine to show how we ensure the print quality of the finished products that come out of our printing house.

Once again this year, the Eddie printer, designed for printing on food products, cheered up visitors by printing in real time on the incredibly delicious gingerbread cookies of our partners at “Zlatnoto zrance”.

On display at our stand was also a barcode label printer from our long-standing partners Citizen, as well as a colour printer from Epson.

We are proud to share that Dilcom has been approved through a customer audit by BHTC to produce labels meeting the VDA 6.3 standard, which has been specifically developed for the automotive industry. This enables us to produce high quality and reliable labels that fully meet the stringent requirements of the automotive sector.

What is the VDA 6.3 standard?
VDA 6.3 is a quality management standard developed by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). It applies to all processes in the automotive supply chain and imposes strict requirements on product quality and production processes. Thanks to this standard, Dilcom can offer its automotive customers labels that meet the specific needs and standards of the industry. Most often these are polyester labels or other types of industry-specific labels.

What is the FSSC 22000 standard?
FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification) is the leading international standard for food safety management. Bright sunshine, warm smiles, team games at the beach, lots of dancing and high spirits - that's how the weekend went for Dilcom. Together with our colleagues we celebrated the company's birthday at Hotel Casa di Fiore in Kranevo.

The beach games brought much joy and laughter. The colleagues were divided into two teams and the collective games managed to bring them together. With only a slight advantage a winner was declared at the finale.

In the evening we celebrated to the gentle sounds of DJ Mr. Kosax's saxophone, we danced Bulgarian folk dance (hora), we sang and greatly enjoyed ourselves.

Employees are the main asset of a company and we are proud of the people who work at Dilcom. Each one of them with their vibrant character, skills and dedication contributes to the progress and growth of the company. Without them, success would not be possible!

Dilcom representatives visited Drupa 2024 - the world's largest exhibition for printing technologies, held in Düsseldorf, Germany.

For 11 days, the city is transformed into the "Capital of print" and becomes an arena for the latest innovations in the printing industry, printing technologies and creative applications.

Our colleagues attended specialized seminars and workshops discussing trends and the future of the print industry.

Drupa was first held in 1951 and since then has been organized every 4 years so as to become a main platform for the presentation of specialized materials, diverse papers, new technologies in the areas of offset, digital and flexo printing, design and prepress software, packaging manufacture technologies and materials, cutting, folding, laminating and other types of print finishing machinery and technologies, 3D printing and its various applications.

The last exhibition was held in 2016 as the subsequent pandemic cancelled the next edition, only to return in full force this year, in which over 260,000 visitors from over 180 countries and more than 1,800 exhibitors exchange ideas and valuable experience.

This year’s anniversary edition of the International Food Exhibitions at the IEC Sofia took place from 8th to 11th November. Culinary competitions, lectures, and discussions were held in separate halls and aroused the curiosity of the visitors.

At its booth in Hall 1, Dilcom showcased a variety of high-quality and innovative labels produced in the company's printing house, as well as their application on real products.

In a specially designed corner we exhibited a variety of shapes and sizes of self-adhesive labels and tags for different industries. Visitors had the opportunity to read the ingredients of a shampoo on a multi-layer label, peel off the surface layer of a scratch-off label, see a wrap-around label on a delicious baklava, irregularly shaped labels on bottles of sunflower oil, cans, wafers, embossed labels, in-mold labels and many others.

The new addition to the company's portfolio, the 5-colour label printer OKI Pro 1050, sparked great interest. Its innovative technology allows unique white colour printing on transparent or colour labels. Visitors saw impressive designs of promotional labels, wine labels and others, printed with the OKI Pro 1050.

Once again we showcased the Eddie DTM printer for printing on food products. Visitors stopped with interest to watch rice bowls, Mentos, biscuits, chocolate and cake layers being printed in front of them.

Citizen, TSC, Godex, SATO and Zebra industrial label printers were exhibited at the stand, as well as an Arca labeling machine.

In our production facility we print self-adhesive and non-adhesive labels made of various materials with a variety of regular and irregular shapes, sizes and colors. The latest technology we use includes the production of the so-called in-mold labels, which are directly embedded in the plastic packaging of products. This process is innovative and environmentally friendly, and the labels are of excellent quality and unmatched durability.

At our stand, you will see a colorful selection of labels, including multi-layer, double- and tri-layer labels, cardboard labels and tickets, display and shelf labels, RFID, specialty and security labels that withstand very high or very low temperatures, and more. They are suitable for many different industries such as wine production, the meat industry, confectionery, dairy production, the automotive industry, pharmaceuticals, logistics, etc.

The labels can be pre-printed with a logo while additional information such as expiry date, batch, and serial number can be printed with label printers which you will also be able to view at the Dilcom booth. In addition to that, our stand will also display the latest industrial printers from our partners SATO, GoDEX, Citizen and TSC - a great solution for many different manufacturing facilities.

This year we will also be showcasing the innovative OKI Pro 1050 color printer. With a unique fifth color option 'CMYK+1' allowing printing in white, it takes creativity to a new level. The white color allows for greater flexibility when designing your labels. OKI uses LED dry toner technology to print opaque white on clear or colored label stock. LED print heads have no moving parts, making them robust and extremely reliable, and the printer is compact and energy efficient.

At this year's show we will once again be demonstrating the Eddie printer, which is designed to be used in the food industry and meets all hygiene standards. With it you can print numerous designs on various food products such as cookies, cake layers, macaroons, white chocolate and many other pastries and baked goods.
