Along with the paper labels as the most familiar, foil labels are becoming increasingly popular, especially in specific fields such as packaging industry, electronics, engineering and automobile industries.
Owing to their specific characteristics, foil labels have some significant advantages over paper labels. The basic advantage is that they are more resistant to environmental impact and are more-robust to tearing than paper labels.
Self adhesive foil labels are resistant to UV rays, high temperatures, humidity, chemical solvents and oils. Foil labels have good adhesion to glass, high and low surface energy plastics, metals as well as greasy and dirty surfaces.
We produce wide variety of self adhesive foil labels, which cover the high requirements of European standards for strength, resistance and durability.
Polyethylene labels
Polyethylene labels are produced from white polyethylene (PE) material with matt or gloss coating, suitable for thermal transfer and flexo print. Images, printed on polyethylene labels are distinguished with high contrast and quality. Due to its flexibility, polyethylene is used on curved surfaces.
A disadvantage of polyethylene is that it is not very resistant to high temperatures.
The strength of the coating of polyethylene labels and the resistance to weather conditions and most chemical solvents, made them ideal for outdoor applications, where the smear and scratch resistance ore obligatory in all environmental conditions.
Polyethylene labels are printed with wax, wax-resin and resin ribbons at printing speed up to 240 mm/sec and resolution 8-12 dots/mm.
Application:
Polyethylene labels are suitable for outdoor and industrial applications at more-aggressive conditions. Typical application is drum labeling, pallets, containers, etc. They can be used on flat, curved and rough surfaces.
Polypropylene labels
Polypropylene labels are produced from transparent polypropylene material, suitable for thermal transfer and flexo print. Images printed on polypropylene labels are distinguished with high contrast and quantity.
The strength of the coating of polypropylene labels and the resistance to weather conditions and most chemical solvents, made them ideal for outdoor applications, where the smear and scratch resistance ore obligatory in all environmental conditions.
Polypropylene labels are printed with wax-resin and resin ribbons at printing speed up to 240 mm/sec and resolution 8-12 dots/mm.
Application:
Polypropylene can be used on stiff and semi-stiff surfaces. The transparency of polypropylene labels makes them suitable for cosmetics applications (more information can be found in our blog article for cosmetics labels). They are suitable for barcode labels, designative labels and warning labels, labels containing instructions and warranty labels.
Polyester labels
Polyester labels are produced from extremely strong, white or silver polyester material with high resistance to abrasion, suitable for thermal transfer and flexo print. Images, printed on polyester labels, are distinguished with high contrast and quality.
Because of their stiffness, polyester labels are not suitable for adhesion to curved and rough surfaces.
They are characterized with high resistance to abrasion, humidity resistance, and resistance to chemicals, high temperatures, scratching and smearing.
Polyester labels are printed with wax-resin and resin ribbons at printing speed up to 240 mm/sec and resolution 8-12 dots/mm.
Application:
Polyester labels are suitable for warning labels, information labels, rating plates, security labels, inventory labels, technical plates for machine and devices.
Vinyl labels
Vinyl self adhesive labels are produced from elastic vinyl foil, suitable for curved and porous surfaces. Labels are resistant to outdoor factors - UV rays, washing detergent, solvents, oils, etc.
Extraordinary strong glue enables adhesion even on low free surface energy base as polyethylene.
Label’s durability at outdoor using is at least 5 years and at inside conditions – practically no limited.
Application:
Because this material is not an electric conductor, it can be found in wide applications at sealing electronic sub-assemblies and computer elements.
Suitable for barcode labels, information labels, service instruction labels, rating plates for technical equipment and industrial applications, information signs for machines and devices.
Acrylic labels
Acrylic self adhesive labels are produced from acrylic foil, resistant to high temperatures (up to 3000) and UV rays.
The white matt surface of labels asserts the barcode contrast, even from long distance reading.
The universal glue is ideal for adhesion on dirty surfaces, to low free surface energy plastics and even to grease metal bases.
Application:
Acrylic self adhesive labels are suitable for information labels and rating plates. They are ideal for printing labels with circuits and diagrams, for labeling printed circuit boards and other products, when resistance to high temperatures is required.
