AP-CODE Date Coder – a new DTM module for label application

Our long-standing partner DTM Print recently unveiled the AP-CODE date coder – a lot and date coding unit for label applicators. The date coder uses a solvent-based single black ink cartridge to print directly onto containers and labels. It prints the date codes at high speed while the labels are being applied by the applicator device.

 

The AP-CODE module is specifically crafted to operate seamlessly with the AP360e and AP362 label applicators from the DTM Print AP-Series. It can be purchased separately if you already own one of these devices or bought together with a new one.

 

The compact-sized device is user-friendly, convenient and cost-effective. It connects directly to the DTM applicators so it does not require additional power supply to run. The installation is very simple and takes about 10 to 15 minutes. No extra tools are required.

 

For further convenience, it features a full colour touchscreen for easy operation. The display allows operators to quickly and easily set up and edit data such as expiry dates and lot codes. They can then be printed on substrates including glass, metal and plastic bottles and containers.

 

The AP-CODE date coder for label applicators can print digits, letters and a wide variety of different symbols. Certain templates and formats can be stored onto the module in order to speed up production during later use.

 

The black ink it uses is stored in a single cartridge. It is durable, waterproof, resistant to UV light and scratching, and dries instantly. These characteristics make the ink very long-lasting in various conditions.

 

For added reliability and peace-of-mind, DTM Print offers a 36-month long warranty on the AP-CODE module.
